Citrus American Cancer Society Proclaims "Hats Off"  to a special group of local artists. At this years Cattle barons Ball a very special art gallery was on display, with all the art presented on cowboy hats.

The hats were on display for guests to purchase chances to win "Chinese Auction" style as they enter the gala at Citrus Springs Community Center.

The evening has become an anticipated tradition in citrus County and noted as a major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in it's battle against cancer and continued support for cancer patients.

Ten special artists were asked to contribute their talents. Each was given a white cowboy hat and asked if they would not simply decorate the hats but allow the hats to become their canvas. Cattle Committee members excitement grew as each hat arrived, realizing this project had stimulated not only a successful fund raising avenue, but an unique art gallery of one-of-a-kind artwork.
